About This Course
The Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) is substantially different than its predecessors. Not only are there updated versions of nearly every component, there are also entirely new components, some of which have made older ones obsolete.
This course begins with a summary of updated components, comparing the versions in the latest versions of CDH5 and CDH6 to their counterparts in CDP. The course then explains which components from CDH aren't included in CDP, as well as their suggested replacements. Afterward, we introduce several components in CDP that will likely be new to CDH users, explaining the purpose of each and briefly demonstrating how they work.
This course includes 2 hours of video content.
Students who successfully complete this course will learn::
- How component versions in CDH5 and CDH6 compare with those in CDP
- Which components have been eliminated in CDP and what Cloudera recommends for replacing them
- Which components are new in CDP, from the perspective of a CDH user
Audience and Prerequisites
This course is best suited to technical users in any role, such as system administrators, developers, or data scientists, who want to learn how the components in the Cloudera Data Platform compare to those in CDH.
